Police Reform
MPD has announced both a new webpage for community feedback on the City's website, and upcoming community engagement sessions. Community members are encouraged to participate and give their vital input in this reform process agreed upon between the City and the MN Department of Human Rights (MDHR).
Community Engagement Webpage
Provide feedback on individual policies and comment on general topics within the feedback form. View a calendar of upcoming community sessions, information regarding timelines, a summary of the investigation conducted by the MDHR, and data analysis of both crime statistics as well as feedback received from the public.
Community Engagement Sessions
Sessions will cover topics such as stops, searches and arrests; nondiscriminatory policing; and the MPD’s mission, vision, values and goals statements. Attendees will learn about the existing policies and potential updates, and be able to provide their voice in shaping selected MPD policies, training curricula and value statements. Each session is approximately 2 hours and includes discussion of the topic, guest speakers and breakout groups.

Aircraft Noise & Long-Term Planning at MSP Airport
The public is invited to comment on the draft MSP Airport Long-Term Plan. The Metropolitan Airports Commission’s long-term planning includes anticipating:
Future aviation activity levels (passengers, cargo and aircraft operations).
Facilities and infrastructure that will meet projected needs.
Environmental factors that should be taken into consideration including noise.
Comment through an online form, by email or by mail by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21.
Rethinking I-94 between Minneapolis & Saint Paul
If you’re affected by the stretch of I-94 between Minneapolis and Saint Paul, the MN Dept. of Transportation (MnDOT) is looking for your input. MnDOT recognizes the actions 60 years ago devastated communities, and those impacts are still felt today. With Rethinking I-94, MnDOT is working to help reconnect neighborhoods and revitalize communities.
