Sinkhole at 27th St & Girard Ave

 
 

Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) is nearing completion of the repair work on their deep 60” sanitary pipe at 27th and Girard and will be handing the site back to the City by August 1st to reconnect our local infrastructure.  City crews will work to repair and restore impacted storm and sanitary pipes, remove the sanitary bypass system, make the final connection of the City sanitary pipe to the MCES system, and restore the pavement.

The City restoration work is underway and anticipated to be completed on or before Friday, Aug. 25. Please continue to use caution around the site.
