We’re celebrating 1 year of Safety Walking Club with our newly appointed 5th Precinct Insp. Christie Nelson, and devoted local officer Lt. Chuck McCree. Come meet our officials, other neighbors, then join our walk in East Isles to learn firsthand what we do and why we do it.
About Walking Club
Calling all walkers! You’re invited to participate in our East Isles Safety Walking Club, modeled after the popular and successful Loring Park and North Loop safety walking clubs. This is a great way to promote neighborhood safety by using our collective eyes and ears on the street. Walking clubs are also an excellent opportunity to get outside, meet neighbors, pick up litter and contribute to community spirit!
MPD 5th Precinct officers and Loring Park Safety Walking Club members who joined our impressive inaugural walk will continue as our partners on upcoming walks to help support our walking club and promote crime prevention in our neighborhood. Please wear your orange T-shirt/hat from our inaugural walk, or pick up one if you're just joining us.
