Kellie Kish from the City of Minneapolis – Division of Solid Waste & Recycling presented on composting and recycling.

More about Kellie Kish: She is the Recycling Coordinator for the City of Minneapolis. She’s held the position since April 2013. Her primary job duties include residential education on waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and organics management. She leads the City’s Zero Waste program efforts, assists in the development of the Green to Go and Bring Your Own Bag ordinances, oversees the City’s container rental program, and is responsible for enforcement of the City’s multi-unit recycling ordinance.

Kellie also serves on the board of directors of the Minnesota Composting Council and participates in several local, state, and national waste, recycling, and composting committees.

Katlyn Flannery shared how her neighborhood helped people in multi-family buildings compost by sharing with single-family home neighbors.
